Comments: Aberdare is a TV relay of Wenvoe (line fed). Used to broadcast Valleys Radio on 999kHz, now discontinued

Our first photo - from TCPD - was probably taken in about 1984 - before the FM services were added.

Bringing us up-to-date it would seem that the CCI sign has been used for target practice, which is a bit harsh.

No doubt it will be replaced by some NGW signage in due course.

Adjacent to the tower there is mast which is an MF monopole providing the service of Valley Radio.

The view of the town from the site.
