Aislaby is located at a Vodafone base station on the edge of the village of Aislaby. Although the relay at Whitby is only a short distance away and is clearly visible, the receive aerials seem to point towards the Ravenscar relay instead.
No-one in Aislaby itself seems to use this station, as none of the houses had aerials pointing towards it. Instead it seems to the serve villages of Sleights, Ugglebarnby and Briggswath down in the valley below.
