Shots of the original northern aerial support tower... this tower is the reserve for R5 Live.
The masts support a 4 wire T aerial transmitting the TalkSPORT services. This was the original 1929 Regional/Home Service aerial until replaced by the 500ft monopole some 50 years ago. It remained as a standby until the 70s. This tower was also used for CarFax transmissions.
