I am indebted to professional photographer Doug Houghton for our next two photos showing the Burgar Hill relay to be a guyed mast in what is obviously a very windswept location. Back in the days when the network was owned and managed by by two different companies it was odd that Arqiva were listed as the landlords here despite NGW being responsible for every other broadcast site on Orkney and Shetland.
