We found the Canongate relay. I happened to look up at the roof of a building and spied a log periodic, then a second! I couldn't see the receive antenna but I assume it's a horizontally polarised log pointing at Craigkelly. There are a few buildings in the area with aerials pointing towards the relay but most are tall enough to just get Craigkelly with high gain aerials. |

Dan Glover says: My photos are from the opposite side of the building (now part of the University of Edinburgh, but they've left the original name on the stonework).
The text for the existing pictures says Robert spotted two (VP?) logs but nothing for rx. From the front of the building we have a VP log at the left hand end - this is the one shown in detail in the existing photos - and two HP logs.
Ofcom shows Cannongate as having HP and VP components. I'm assuming the yagi is for "domestic" use in the building and the log parallel to this is also on Craigkelly. The other HP log is therefore another tx antenna.
