Comments:

This site carries the local Essex DAB mux on Ch 12D, and since October 2006 national services on the Digital One mux, as you can see there is plenty of non broadcast equipment.

Separate antennas are used for the two services, the two sets of dual folded dipoles at the very top carry the Essex mux (33 metres above ground level according to Ofcom data) and the single (new and shiny) dual set further down carry the D1 service (at 23.5 metres).

ERP is the same for both, 500W, and the direction of fire is towards Colchester town centre about 2 miles to the south west.

The mast is on a modern industrial estate close to the A12/A120 interchange, the pictures were taken rather too early one morning!
