Comments: Crickhowell is a relay of Wenvoe (via Ebbw Vale and Abergavenny)

Though called Crickhowell, this relay is actually located some distance out of the village, and is used to provide a UHF programme source by residents of Llangynidr, Bwlch and the Duffryn Crawnon valley.

Crickhowell itself actually enjoys very good reception from Abergavenny, which can be seen from most of the village. Before Crickhowell was commissioned UHF reception was virtually impossible for some of these areas, especially Llangynidr, where the use of Mendip was not uncommon. Areas right under the Abergavenny relay use Crickhowell with high gain aerials and masthead amplifiers many miles out of its intended service area.
