Comments: Relay of Moel-y-Parc

A small relay site which seems to purely serve the village itself. I mooched around the village and all of the antennas are pointed at it. The reason for its existance seems to be a large hill blocking Moel-y-Parc.

The mast sits on the side of a hill with the RX antenna pointed at MYP.

Two pairs of cross periodics pointing across the village itself.

The drive up to the mast from the centre of the village (which seems to be the pub) is up a steep road, and probably about ¾ mile. You eventually come to a heavily rutted farm track on the left, which is gated and locked. Do not consider driving up this track unless you're in a 4WD.

I parked in a small layby back down the road which comes from the village and set off up towards the rutted track...

... Next to the locked gate is a stile - over this, then left over the field.

At this point, it's not possible to see the mast - effectively, you're above it. As you reach the brow of the hill you're climbing, you see that you're over it, so it's possible to get some photos looking level with the top of the mast
