Comments: Eskdale Green is a relay of Caldbeck (via Whitehaven and Gosforth)

Eskdale Green replaced a self-help relay which was a bit further up the hill, around the mid 1990s. The receive antennas point at Gosforth. The transmit antennas point North and East. The old self-help relay was horizontally polarised (probably an active deflector of Gosforth) and some viewers never changed to vertical polarisation after the new relay was built.
