ESKDALE GREEN

I must say it made a refreshing change from the dismal suburban rooftops I've been photographing of late! There's some overlap with Simon Linney's earlier photos but better that than miss something out. I've also included some panoramics of the surrounding spectacular scenery. I thought I'd pop along and see what changes were visible at the Eskdale Green site since Digital Switchover which had occurred there in Oct-07. Not a lot was different, except for the bright shiny new pair of receive yagis, which had replaced the pair of logs there previously. |

Eskdale is a beautiful location in the south western Lake District, just south of Wasdale. The valley runs east-west, and is sandwiched between Birker Fell to the south and Eskdale Fell to the north. The valley's eastern end is blocked by Harter Fell and Hard Knott, between which runs the Hard Knott Pass, England's steepest road.
