Comments: Far Highfield is a relay of Winter Hill

Far Highfield serves the villages of Aughton and Claughton in the Lune Valley, to the east of Lancaster. These are not far from the Lancaster transmitter, but just out of sight of it.

The mast looks new and quite like the one at Millthrop (further up the Lune Valley), so has probably replaced a wooden pole when mobile phones and Airwave reached the area.

The Far Highfield relay is in the farm, there doesn't seem to be access to it directly from the road.
