Show historic services

Melling transmits with both vertical and horizontal polarisation. There's a stack of 4 vertical dipoles plus a couple of horizontal logs pointing south towards the village of Wray. Originally an IBA landlord site, Melling entered service on 26th November 1982. Channel 4 became available in December 1983 when this service was added at the parent site, Lancaster.

The vertically polarised Rx log is pointing SW towards
Lancaster which is 24 kilometres distant.
