Grasmere was originally an IBA landlord site and the most northerly Winter Hill relay (via Windermere), with site number 103.51. It entered service on 23-Jun-1978 to serve about 1000 people. Along with Coniston, Kendal and Windermere, ITV was re-attributed to the Border region in 1982 and the site was re-numbered 137.45. Channel 4 was added on 11-Sep-1987. DSO was in June & July 2009. Throughout, the RBL source at Grasmere has remained Windermere.
