Some early pictures from 1980s or perhaps 1990s

Bowmore was originally a BBC landlord site which entered service transmitting 3 UHF TV channels in July 1980 to serve 1,400 people. Channel 4 was added on 20-Jun-1986. A horizontally polarised beam was added in 1986 to provide a programme feed to the Portnahaven relay. DSO was implemented in May 2011.

BBC Radio's 2, 3 & Scotland entered service in October 1980 on 88.1 / 90.3 / 92.5 MHz. Radio Scotland (Main) entered service on 30-May-1991 on 103.6 MHz. Radio's 1 & 4 were added on 10-Jul-1993 on 97.7 & 95.7 MHz.
