CARMARTHEN

DAB added - June 2015

BBC DAB entered service on 6th June 2011. Swansea DAB was added in January 2015.


These two towers are known as Carmarthen, with the original 1960's BBC tower on the right.

Band II FM radio Tx aerial, slant polarised


Wenvoe & Carmel band II receive logs on the original BBC tower. The direction is about the same for both. Radio Cymru and Carmarthenshire FM, both use Carmel for their programme feed.


Haverfordwest band II receive logs on the other tower. This was used for the Radio Cymru programme feed until it was changed to Carmel (2004).






On the other side of the lane is Carmarthen A. The tower on the right.

The 106.0 MHz ILR (Heart South Wales) transmit yagi, missing the lower half of its reflector.
