Andy's first contributon to the site is a small 50W FM radio relay on the coast of Western Scotland.

For some reason Ardgour provides horizontally polarised transmissions in one direction and vertical polarisation in the opposite direction.

I'm not sure what the advantages of this might be, but I guess there must be a reason for it, if only the relative cheapness of two standard log-periodics.

Ardgour entered service on the 3rd December 1993. Its main function seems to be to provide a feed to Ballachulish. The horizontally polarised direction.
