This is the Bakers Wood site at Chelmsford, near the evocatively named Writtle Park.

There are two structures on this site. The mast transmits ILR Essex-FM on 102.6 MHz, BBC Essex on 765 kHz, and Gold on 1359 kHz.

ILR Chelmsford (Essex Radio) launched on 10th December 1981 on 96.4 MHz and 1359 kHz. BBC Essex launched on 5th November 1986 on 765 kHz.

Channel 5 launched on the 30th March 1997. Closed in 2011.
Essex DAB entered service on the 25th April 2002.
