THE TRANSMISSION GALLERY

ASHTON MOSS (ARQIVA)

Photos by Mark G7RJV Page last updated: 2020-02-29

Pictures taken April 2013

Didn't have much time to visit this site and taking pictures of the site was made much more difficult due to a nearby athletics track being in use causing visitors to park on the local roads outside of the site and it was starting to rain.

Much of the local area is being redeveloped and the nearby garden plant nursery to the south of the transmitter site has already been cleared in preparation for redevelopment. The developer website show a low quality map which has the land of the transmitter site is using be redeveloped. Possibly the developers being optimistic ?

A local service on 1377 KHz is transmitted from a white pole antenna located north of the main 1152 KHz array, this service run 80 watts.
