The once BBC 'Ashton Moss' site, slightly to the south west of the IBA site, formerly transmitted BBC Radio Manchester from 1976 to September 1992 on 1458 kHz (1457 kHz until Nov-1978), with a power of 5kW. This site has been used by the Independent Radio Station Capital Gold, formerly BIG AM - still with me?
