South Hams Radio launched on 1st December 1999. On 23rd March 2009, the station became Heart South Devon. The Dartmouth transmitter originally relayed Bolberry Down, but this site was moved to Soar in 2003. Heart South Devon also have three additional relays; one at Ivybridge on 101.9, another at Totnes on 100.5, and this 100 W vertical polarized relay at Dartmouth. The Yagi mounted on the right of the building collects the off-air signal, and the one on the left of the building transmits the signal across Dartmouth.
