Burton (Shobnall) was a transposer - channel details are shown below - which was intended to serve approximately 60 households. It's very likely the purpose was to provide a clean signal to those impacted by blocking or multipath reflections from the buildings at the brewery. |
Below: Rob Shufflebotham made a Freedom of Information request for details of the self-help, which produced the details below. For some reason (which none of us can fathom) the service area map which normally accompanies the details was witheld on the grounds that it might "adversely affect the intellectual property rights of the provider of the information to Ofcom". Make of that what you wish..... |
Above: Alan visited in September 2016 and reports: "Shobnall isn't a digital self help relay, but it is still in situ. After visiting a number of other sites around Derbyshire/East Staffs, I arrived here pretty late, and storms were brewing. Most of the aerials on the rooftops point directly to Sutton Coldfield." |
