THE TRANSMISSION GALLERY

RAMSEY UHF

Photos by Photo by Ed Rixon Manx Radio Page last updated: 2015-08-13

April 2005: DSO

A new installation has been built since DSO, with the transmitter cabin in a hollow below ground level to minimise the visual impact of the site. The transmit and telemetry aerials are on a disguised mast and the receive aerials are on a short mast next to the hut. The analogue service came from the Albert Tower (in the background of the receive aerial picture).

Ramsey is a relay of the Jurby service (cable fed from Douglas) and feeds the Kimmeragh relay.
