New transmit panels - July 2019

In preparation for 700 MHz band clearance at Dartmouth, the curved panel transmit aerials were replaced during August 2018. This is because the transmit channels here moved from UHF band V to band IV. The clearance changes at Dartmouth were implemented on 27/3/2019.

As Nick Tucker found, this site is enclosed by trees making getting any clear views of the tower near to the site, almost impossible. I took this picture from Dartmouth Academy, the location of Dartmouth VHF. Google maps calculates the distance as 933m.

Nearer to the site we can see the new transmit panel aerials.

The embossing on the front these panels indicates they are manufactured by Sira.

A single log periodic is used for receiving Beacon Hill.
