CLACTON

DAB added - October 2016

BBC, Digital One and Essex DAB all went into service on 26th July 2016, at Clacton. No sign of a satellite receive dish here. I assume that all 3 DAB services are fed via SHF link. Probably from Manningtree. The BBC and Digital One multiplexes are only 12 W ERP and are ACI fillers to compensate for the 120 W ERP of the Essex local DAB transmitter being in a built up area.

Two band III dipoles added at the top for DAB transmit.

The band II FM radio array of 4 x 4 element horizontal Yagis and 2 x 2 element vertical Yagis.

The familiar GPS cone aerials used for DAB timing.
