Knott Farm in Cumbria is close to the M6 motorway between J37 (Kendal) and J38 (Tebay), a section of the UK motorway network where FM radio reception has always been poor. I can confirm that BBC DAB reception along this stretch of motorway is very good, thanks to this Tx site.

BBC DAB entered service on the 4th May 2012.

4 tiers of band III dipoles used for transmit.

Satellite dish used to provide the programme feed.

The transmitter cabin with the usual GPS cone antennas.

The M6 in the valley below.
