Comments: Allesley Park is a relay of Sutton Coldfield

Show historic services

Difficult site to photograph this, sited in the middle of a fenced off dense patch of trees, surrounded by housing estates, schools and other private land, with vehicular access involving pulling over on the dual carriageway.

Serving Allesley and other western districts of Coventry, transmissions are from four vertical dipoles, facing nominally north east. Off-air reception is a single horizontal log on Sutton Coldfield.

Allesley Park was originally an IBA landlord site which entered service on 22-Jun-1979 to serve 2,400 people. Channel 4 was added on 15-Nov-1985. DSO was on 7 and 21-Sep-2011.
