Comments: Gib Heath is a relay of Sutton Coldfield; service transferred to James House June 2016.

April 2008 (updated September 2016)

The tower block upon which Gib Heath was originally sited, Norfolk Tower, is scheduled to be demolished in 2016 and so the Tx site was moved to nearby block, James House on Newtown Drive in June 2016 (SP060885). We present the site as it was in April 2008, and in September 2016

This is a typical inner city installation, located on top of Norfolk Tower in Gib Heath itself. It's probably there to improve reception for those in the shadow of the many tower blocks in the area, which could also be causing ghosting to reception of Sutton Coldfield.

Transmit antennas are a pair of vertical log periodics pointing north west. RX is one horizontal log on Sutton Coldfield.
