The building site for a new housing estate currently blocks the obvious route to the site. I had to use a very muddy public footpath that followed the perimeter fence of a factory in order to get to the site. This Winter Hill relay transmits with horizontal polarisation. Haughton Green was originally an IBA landlord site which entered service on 3-Oct-1986 to serve about 370 people.

Left, transmit at the top pointing roughly north. Right, receive pointing roughly northwest towards Winter Hill.
