TOROSAY

Photos by Anne and Nigel J. Coote Page last updated: 2012-11-03

Photos taken June 2012

Since the previous pictures taken by Martin Briscoe, Torosay has gained a second antenna cylinder on the smaller tower located west of the main broadcast tower. This is probably a reserve antenna for UHF TV allowing antenna maintenance to take place without a significant loss of digital TV coverage area.

Anne and Nigels pictures were taken whilst on outward ferry journey from Oban to Lochboisdale, South Uist, Outer Hebrides, June 2012.

You can see the road up to the masts on left of the foreground to the centre.

The long and winding road on a glorious day.

This photo shows the Craignure, Isle of Mull Ferry Terminal below the Torosay masts.

This is the last view of the Torosay site just before the Glengorm masts come into view.
