ILR aerial - July 2015

Since the earlier pictures were taken, ILR service, Real Radio was added to Bargoed on 107.3 MHz, entering service on 1st September 2010. This is now Heart FM (South Wales).

The circularly polarised, band II transmit aerial for the ILR service on 107.3 MHz at the very top. This looks like a Shivley Labs 6812.

The UHF Tx panels. Note the top panel looks to be tilted upwards slightly. This is sometimes done to provide some null filling to the vertical radiation pattern.

Band II receive aerial pointing towards St. Hilary for the ILR service and twin UHF receive troughs pointing towards Wenvoe. Note the 17° difference in pointing angles.
