This transmitter is situated on a bleak stretch of road at the top of the Sirhowy Valley. South Tredegar is a relay of Ebbw Vale serving a few small communities to the South East. Ebbw Vale isn't visible from the ground but the mast provides just enough height for the four logs to "see" over the hill.

Originally an IBA landlord site, South Tredegar entered service in 1991. DSO was on 3rd and 31st March 2010.

The direction the RX aerials are pointing.
