Ian's photos show the main UHF transmit antenna to be a set of dipoles, unshrouded. This was replaced by a cylinder in the run up to DSO, see separate page.

Originally a BBC landlord site, UHF TV channels 1 - 3 entered service in 1973, with S4C available from the launch on 1st November 1982. DTT was added in late 1999. DSO was on 3rd and 31st March 2010.

BBC national FM radio was added in 1981 with horizontal polarisation. This was re-engineered for mixed polarisation in August 1984. Radio's 1 & 4 were added on 15th January 1993.
