Comments: Blaenllechau is a relay of Wenvoe

Show historic services

The Blaenllechau site is located in the Rondda Fach, and provides programmes to the properties on the Northern face of the valley, the opposite side from Ferndale, that are shielded from the Ferndale relay by the shape of the valley. The usual crossed log periodic transmitting aerials are used, but unusually for one of these small relays they are horizontally polarised. The receive log is also horizontal, and the relay receives Wenvoe directly.

Originally a BBC landlord site which entered service in 1992.
