New receive aerial - February 2018

The Mendip receive aerial at Seagry Court was replaced on the 7th November 2017, in preparation for 700 MHz band clearance where the 3 PSB channels transmitted by Mendip will move from UHF channels 49/54/58 to 32/34/35. Also Seagry Court is expected to start transmission of multiplexes Com 4 - 6 from the 27th February 2018.

Compared with Dan's 2012 pictures, the short mobile phone tower which was on top of the plant room, has been removed. Consequently, the UHF transmit panels are now more visible.

The new Mendip receive aerial. This panel aerial replaces the original 1976 trough.

Six years on and the UHF transmit panels now looking rather dirty. There are three of these facing southeast, southwest and northwest only. From this viewpoint we are looking at the SW & SE pair.
