THE TRANSMISSION GALLERY

OGBOURNE ST. GEORGE

Photos by Mike Pratt Page last updated: 2014-09-21

Pre DSO

Often mobile phone base station antennas are mounted on existing TV or radio transmitters or relays. Here an existing TV relay transmitter antenna array has been moved from it's old wooden pole, to co-sited Orange pole. The wooden pole is visible to the right of the photo. You can see the vertically polarised UHF TV yagi antennas mounted just below the Orange antennas. Below that is the Orange microwave dish and the horizontally polarised yagi TV receiving antennas.

You can see the Orange equipment cabinets on the left and the TV cabin below the pole on the right.
