Comments: Wootton Courtenay is a relay of Mendip

This relay appears to have two RX aerials: a typical log-periodic, and a higher-gain yagi much lower down the tower, perhaps only 3 or 4 metres agl. They both point to Mendip.

Originally a BBC landlord site entering service on 8th October 1982, with Channel 4 from 2nd November 1982. DSO was on 24th March and 7th April 2010.

[Ed] This Yagi is the main RBL receive aerial, low down to screen from possible tidal fading as the path to Mendip crosses the River Parrett estuary into the Bristol Channel. The log higher up is used when the hedge gets too tall and requires trimming.
