CLOVENFORDS

Photos by David Neale Page last updated: 2021-10-12

January 2006

Here are some pictures of the relay at Clovenfords in the Scottish Borders.

Clovenfords is a relay of Selkirk and is supposed to cover the areas of Clovenfords, Caddonfoot and the Peel area. Unfortunately due to it's location, reception in Clovenfords poor, and so a second relay was planned called Clovenfords Village using the Group B allocation 39,42,45,49. It even made it into some of the engineering information booklets, see last picture. However it was never built.

Clovenfords was originally an IBA landlord site which entered service in 1992.

The September 1997 BBC & ITC Transmitting Stations booklet that David referred to. Note
the other error as both Clovenfords sites are listed as Rosemarkie relays, not Selkirk.
