Comments: Carhampton is a relay of Mendip

Carhampton was originally a BBC landlord site which entered service in December 1986 using a 17m wooden pole which has subsequently been replaced with a steel monopole. The original UHF channels were a non-standard wideband allocation of 34, 67, 30 & 56. This was changed to a standard group A grouping of 21, 27, 24 & 31, prior to the start of DTT services from Wenvoe and Mendip in 1998.
