Comments: Ellon is a relay of Durris

May 2017

Google Street View shows the Ellon relay alongside a roundabout adjacent to a small area of woodland. The road layout has changed in the meantime - no roundabout and more houses!

The broadcast installation is simple - two vertical logs for transmit and one horizontal for receive.

The "tripod" structure seems excessive for three logs but perhaps the possibility of site sharing was considered from the outset?

Difficult to be certain with the sunlight from behind but it appears there is an older style of enclosure still in place behind the DSO-style cabin.
