Show historic services

updated April 2009

This site is another one of those pretty much surrounded by trees (although it is next to a narrow road with a convenient parking spot), which is why all the close-ups are from virtually underneath the tower!

The array of log-periodics at the top are unusually split, four crossed logs radiating in a NW-NE pattern, with four single logs below radiating to the NW only. It looks like this ought to give "even" coverage for the villages of Newnham and Doddington in the valley below, around 0.5km NE and 1.5km NW of the site respectively. Both of these villages doubtless have some problems obtaining signals from Dover or Bluebell Hill due to the local terrain.

The service date was 30th August 1984.
