THE TRANSMISSION GALLERY

CONWY

Photos by Dan Glover Page last updated: 2012-07-13

June 2012 - DAB

The mission was to add details of the DAB installation, but it's also possible to see that nothing else has really changed following DSO at the end of 2009.

Sorry about the quality - the weather didn't help.

Multiple generations of signage, all superimposed!

A general view on approach. The DAB antennas aren't really visible from this angle, but are at the top of the main structure...

...two pairs of 5-element yagis directed approximately east/west

On the left the logs used to receive Cefn Du, and on the right two troughs directed at Llanddona - all redundant now the site is line/satellite fed.

The VSAT dish is assumed to be for telemetry. There are larger dishes at ground level which will be for the programme feeds but I wasn't able to find a safe/suitable place to photograph these
