Pictures taken on a very dark day in May 2012.

Nice dark rainy day to take pictures of a grey tower.

Site overlooks the town and is a prime site for communications to the area. Located nearby is a motorcycle race track and a small restaurant and the war memorial as shown in Mike Smith’s pictures.


Three sets of band II antenna are on the left of this picture. The twin 6 element yagis are for reception of Radio York from Acklam Wold, while the log type is for reception of BBC national radio from Holme Moss.








Two troughs. Top for Emley Moor and the lower for Belmont.




Band II and DAB antenna. BBC & Digital One DAB added in 2008, North Yorkshire DAB on 17th December 2014.


ILR radio antenna. Yorkshire Coast Radio launched 7th September 1993.






Scarborough (Row Brow) medium wave transmitter site.
