CLUN

Photos by David Neale Page last updated: 2023-03-26

March 2005

This small site stands high up and very remote on the south side of the valley in the forest near the beautiful little town of Clun, famous for its castle and medieval bridge.

Clun was originally a BBC landlord site which entered service with 3 TV channels in December 1979 to serve a population of about 1400 people. Channel 4 was added on 19-Sep-1986 and Radio Shropshire on 3-Dec-2002.

The tower has an 8 log periodic array at the top in 2 stacks of 4. Other site users are orange and Airwave.
