Originally an IBA landlord site, UHF TV on 3 channels commenced on 3rd November 1972. Channel 4 was added in May 1984 and Channel 5 was available from the launch on 30th March 1997. DSO was on 4th and 18th August 2010.

ILR Perth (Radio Tay) launched on 14th November 1980.

The Perth relay is located right next to the M90 motorway and only a stone's throw away from towers at Kirkton Mailer.

The panels about 3/4 up the tower (35m) were for Channel 5, with an omni-directional radiation pattern. The main UHF cylinder is a north-east facing cardioid.

On the left, above the Channel 5 panels can be seen the ILR vertical dipole and horizontal loop aerials. ILR Perth (Radio Tay) launched 14th November 1980.

On the right are the two UHF trough RBL aerials for Craigkelly. These were used for BBC 1 & 2. Slightly higher up, you can just make out the back of the RBL trough aerials for Angus, which was used by ITV & Channel 4, and now used for all 3 DTT multiplexes.
