When Lambourn first opened in October 1986, this site consisted of a 17-metre wooden pole. This was replaced by this steel monopole in March 2001 for mobile phone site share.

The Membury mast is visible some 2¾ miles to the SW...

Lambourn was originally a BBC landlord site which entered service on 24-Oct-1986, extending coverage to about 810 people.
