LUCCOMBE

Photos by Bill Wright Page last updated: 2014-09-21

Sept 2014

Bill found himself stood in the garden of a resident while taking this photos. Apparently VHF TV reception was fine in the area, but UHF from Rowridge was hopeless. When Midhurst opened a few years later, that was used, but after a few years radar interference became a problem, at which point the relay was established. Pre DSO the relay used Hannington for its feed (a problem when ITV formed the Thames Valley sub region !). Post DSO the site relays Rowridge, though the Hannington RBL logs remain

Hannington RBL logs at bottom, curiously unlike most other Rowridge relays, the RBL logs are still HP.

Ignore the steel mast, nothing broadcast there

At least the TX hall has had a lick of paint recently !
