Receive aerials change - August 2016

At DSO in 2009, Ystumtuen was changed to receive Presely from Blaenplwyf. Probably to avoid potential CCI from Mullaghanish, in Ireland, which lies in the same direction as Blaenplwyf. Presely is 46 miles away, whereas Blaenplwyf is only 11 miles. The change in pointing angle for the receive aerials is 28 degrees further round to the south.

For comparison, left, Ray Cooper's picture from March 2007. The receive aerials have also been moved higher up the pole.

These log periodic's look quite new.

Transmit aerials unchanged.

GPRS aerial for telemetry. I kept my distance.

The view towards the village of Ystumtuen.
