THE TRANSMISSION GALLERY

WREXHAM-RHOS

Photos by Martin Brown Page last updated: 2020-11-27

DAB added. Pictures taken in July 2016.

DAB service dates: Northeast Wales and West Cheshire, 12th March 2013; BBC National, 31st March 2014.

No DAB aerials visible from this side.

Move further round and there they are, plus the bonus of a passing aircraft, which I didn't notice at the time I was taking this picture. I was more concerned about keeping my camera steady in the strong breeze up here.

Twin band III dipoles in front of a screen for DAB transmit.

A square on view of band III dipoles.

Band II log periodic for Radio Wales transmit.

Satellite dish providing the ETI programme feed for the BBC National DAB service.

Band II Yagi pointing towards Llangollen to provide RDS data for Radio Wales.

UHF trough receive aerial pointing towards Moel-y-Parc.

And the locals seem to prefer the offerings from Winter Hill, which is where those 2 rooftop yagis are pointing at, as were most others in the street.
