2005

Penicuik was originally an IBA landlord site which entered service with 3 channels of UHF TV on 16-Jan-1976 to serve 10,000 people. Channel 4 was added on 23-Aug-1985. DSO was on 1st and 15th June 2011.

ILR Edinburgh (Forth FM) entered service on 14-Aug-1998 on 102.2 MHz. 6 programmes of BBC National FM radio from 28-Sep-2005. Real Radio from 7-Feb-2008 on 103.3 MHz.

DAB service dates: Edinburgh 12-Oct-2000; BBC National 14-Jan-2014.


Since that photo was taken the snow has melted and with the warmth of spring a beautiful cellphone tower has bloomed...




Left tower transmits BBC FM radio. Right tower transmits UHF TV and ILR.
