Comments: Glyn Ceiriog is a relay of Moel-y-Parc (via Pontfadog)

At the bottom of the wooden pole, 2 vertically polarised log periodic rx aerials look over the valley towards the Pontfadog relay. At the top, 2 crossed log periodic tx antenna point either way down the valley.

Not many homes in the village of Glyn Ceiriog use the relay, as there is no line-of-sight to the mast from the bottom of the steep hill. I think they themselves use Pontfadog, from looking at the directions that the aerials on the homes are pointing.

I was impressed by a group of three buzzards that circled effortlessly over head for the entire time I was on site !

Incidentally, if anyone is looking for a beautiful place to build a house, an abandoned self-build project lies

about 20 metres down the track from this site. If it were completed, it would be a stunning location for a home, with some splendid views.
